BMW 3 Series Car Turned Into Real-Life Transformer By Turkish Company
In the “Transformers” movies, Michael Bay used CGI to make cars come to life, but a company in Turkey pulled off the feat without the help of special effects.
Letvision, a Turkish R&D company, created a life-size Transformer, dubbed Letrons, using a BMW 3-Series. Building a one-to-one scale model Transformer out of an actual car would have been cool in and of itself, but what makes Letrons really impressive is that it’s operational.
Letrons is driveable via remote control, then at the touch of a button it’s able to stand on its own two legs.
Letvision would need more funding to develop walking functionality, according to its website. The company hopes future iterations of Letrons could have the ability to be driven on the road.
The site also highlights some other models like the “BIZMUT”, “ARGON”, “WOLFRAM” and “TANTAL.” Letrons first model was the “ANTIMON” which took 8 months to build.
